Welcome to Jeff Pulver’s 140 Characters Conference! (#140conf)

The 140 Characters Conference: Tel Aviv will be taking place on 2 November at the Nalaga’at” Center, located at the Jaffa port in Tel Aviv.

This is the third #140conf to take place in Tel Aviv.

On November 2nd registration opens at 08:30. Once you pick up your badge, your conference networking begins so please try to arrive early enough to take advantage of this morning networking opportunity. #140conf will start promptly at 09:45 and the morning session will run until 12:30. The intermission is from 12:30 until 14:00. During intermission you will have another opportunity to network and it is suggested you allocate some time to have lunch at a nearby cafe. The conference resumes prompty at 14:00 and will run until 17:30.

#140conf exposes you to the power the real-time web has to disrupt businesses, change lives and create serendipity. You will leave with a fresh outlook on how the real time web can be used in your business and/or personal life to do something meaningful.

Prepare to laugh, connect and learn as each of our “characters” shares authentic stories about how this new medium has effected their lives. Our eclectic group of speakers may be using the real time web differently but their stories all share one thing in common…how the real-time web is changing our lives.

The #140conf events provide a platform for the worldwide twitter community to: listen, connect, share and engage with each other, while collectively exploring the effects of the emerging real-time internet on business.

Our schedule is unique and fast paced. It is our intention to provide a platform for as many people as possible to share their thoughts and engage in conversation with the attending delegates. You will find individual talks set to: 10 minutes; and the various panel discussions are set for 10 to 20 minutes.

The take aways from this event will provide the attending delegates knowledge, perspectives and insights to the effects the real-time internet will have on both “we” the people, business and society.

David Spark interviews @jeffpulver with his take on #140conf and the Real-Time web while at SXSW 2010
